She Persisted

Tournaments, whether rated or unrated are an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge and cognitive skills acquired from chess class.  Tournaments are a powerful equalizer. Tournaments cross economic, race and more importantly gender barriers. Our goal is not to confine girls to an environment but to build their confidence, winning, using their intellectual ability, playing chess in a male dominated environment.

Please join us as we celebrate the Day of the Girl. As the Finale of National Chess Week, Chess Girls DC is hosting a Mid Atlantic Regional Chess Tournament. Compete with Girls from around the region to be the All Girls Mid Atlantic Champion.
